1 Features Overview
This web page is a process management and O&M tool in the robot system, implemented based on Supervisor. It is used to uniformly manage various background processes running on the robot (mainly ROS nodes and related services). It provides users with visualized process status monitoring, start/stop control, and log viewing capabilities, making daily use, troubleshooting, and on-site maintenance easier.
2 Access
- First connect to the robot Wi-Fi
- Via Dashboard
- System Status → Toolbox → Process Monitoring Tool → Go
- Direct URL
Once inside, you will see the Supervisor process monitoring page.

3 Page Overview
The Supervisor page displays all managed processes in the current robot system as a list, with each row representing a functional module.
3.1 Field Description
- State
- running (green): the process is running normally
- exited (yellow): the process has stopped or exited abnormally
- Description
- Shows process runtime information such as uptime
- Generally used to determine whether the process has just been restarted
- Name
- Module name, corresponding to a specific function in the robot
- Ordinary users do not need to understand the specific meaning and only need to operate under guidance
- Action
- Start, stop, restart, or view logs for the process
4 Managing Processes
Users can control a single functional module through the buttons in the Action column:
- Start
- Start the currently stopped process
- Stop
- Stop the currently running process ⚠️ The corresponding function will become unavailable after stopping; use only when necessary
- Restart (Recommended)
- Restart the current process
- Often used when a function is abnormal or unresponsive
- Does not affect other modules
| Recommended Usage: When a function is abnormal, first try Restart for the corresponding process. |

5 Viewing Logs
Supervisor provides basic log viewing functions to assist with troubleshooting.
- Tail -f Stdout
- View the process's real-time runtime log (standard output)
- Tail -f Stderr
- View error logs (exceptions and error messages)
- Clear Log
- Clear the process's historical logs
👉 Ordinary users generally do not need to view logs; if you encounter an issue that cannot be resolved, use it under technical support guidance.
6 Common Use Cases
6.1 Scenario 1: A Function Is Unresponsive
- Open the Supervisor page
- Find the corresponding module
- Click Restart
- Wait for the status to return to running
6.2 Scenario 2: Overall System Abnormality
- Confirm that no one is currently operating the robot
- Click RESTART ALL at the top of the page
- Wait for the system to finish restarting
7 Notes
- Do not restart all processes frequently
- Do not stop processes whose purpose you do not understand
- Avoid operating the robot while processes are restarting
- If the issue persists after multiple restarts, please contact technical support
