From January 3 to 5, 2026, Li Qiang, Member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Premier of the State Council, conducted an inspection tour in Guangdong Province. In Shenzhen, Premier Li observed product demonstrations at a robotics company and emphasized the need to further refine the industrial ecosystem, cultivate and expand application scenarios, explore effective business models, and accelerate the iterative upgrading of new technologies and products such as robots and drones through broader application.

During the live demonstration segment, the EngineAI team showcased their fully self-developed universal agent PM01, highlighting its high-dynamic performance capabilities. PM01 not only executed fundamental movements such as humanoid gait walking and autonomous standing but also performed the challenging “Webster backflip” on stage, fully demonstrating EngineAI's comprehensive technical expertise across both software and hardware domains. After witnessing PM01's front flip stunt, the Premier and attending leaders applauded in recognition, offering high praise and affirmation for EngineAI's technological innovations in humanoid robotics.

EngineAI, founded in 2023, is a technology company specializing in general artificial intelligence entities and industry-specific solutions. In terms of ecosystem partnerships, EngineAI has established multiple strategic collaborations with leading tech firms such as Tencent and JD.com to advance the deployment of humanoid robots across diverse scenarios. By 2026, EngineAI will complete a 9,000-square-meter integrated assembly, delivery, R&D, and testing facility in Xili Honghualing, laying a solid foundation for future large-scale development.
Premier Li Qiang's directives have injected strong confidence and momentum into the humanoid robotics industry. EngineAI will continue adhering to its technology path of full-stack independent R&D and open coordination, actively responding to the national call for developing new productive forces. The company aims to propel humanoid robots from “innovative emergence” in laboratories to “widespread application” across all industries, contributing technological strength to building a modern industrial system and achieving the strategic goal of becoming a manufacturing powerhouse.
